Jakarta KPU Records More Than 8.2 Million Registered Voters

The General Elections Commission (KPU) Jakarta recorded 8,234,745 registered voters in Jakarta under the Continuous Voter List (DPB) during the first half of 2026, covering the period from January to June.

Speaking at the Open Plenary Meeting on the Continuous Voter List Update (PDPB) on Monday (7/6), Wahyu Dinata said the total comprised 4,061,651 male voters and 4,173,094 female voters.

"The voter data recap was compiled from updates carried out by KPU offices at the municipal and regency levels across Jakarta," he noted.

Wahyu said the updated voter list includes 21,393 voters in the Thousand Islands, 1,918,708 in West Jakarta, 1,751,287 in South Jakarta, 1,354,252 in North Jakarta, 801,448 in Central Jakarta, and 2,387,647 in East Jakarta.

He added that 29,217 voters were removed from the voter list during the first half of 2026 after being deemed ineligible. The figure includes 11,111 deceased voters, 17,862 who changed their domicile, one foreign national, and 43 members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri).

Meanwhile, 68,158 new voters were added to the list, comprising 34,546 men and 33,612 women.

"The updated voter list also includes 58,510 voters with disabilities, including those with physical, intellectual, mental, hearing, visual, and speech disabilities," he explained.
